It certainly seems as if Whoopi Goldberg has finally taken the big guillotine to her career, thanks to her View hijinks and adversarial relationship with hero Kyle Rittenhouse. Paramount television has blinked and taken a stand.
Filming for the final season of their hit sci-fi program “Picard” has continued, and although it’s intention is to feature the return of the entire Enterprise D crew from the Next Generation days, Goldberg and her character “Guinan” have been summarily “discontinued”.
Head “Star Trek” story editor Joe Barron gave a few brief insights into the star of “Racing Stripes”‘s sudden exit.
“Whoopi Goldberg has definitely revealed herself to be a toxic individual to any production. For her participation in Picard, she dem anded a pay raise, a new Chevrolet Volt, and three hundred bags of Circus Peanuts. That’s pretty much all we could take.”

But how will such an important character as Goldberg’s be simply written out?
“We are introducing another character of her type to the show, a lovely woman by the name of Angela Bassett, whom you may be familiar with. She will more than make up for that harpy’s absence.”
They say that in Hollywood, all sins are eventually forgiven. But I guess that Goldberg finally found out how to make that whole arrangement go “Monkeybone.”
